The Start Stick does the job of a start cart, a start pack and a slave cable, in a single unit you carry out to the aircraft in one hand.
It works across both worlds: Robinson and turbine helicopters, and piston aeroplanes, turboprops and light jets such as the Pilatus PC-24. The case is built for the ramp, so oil, fuel and solvents do not trouble it.
In practice you top it up between starts rather than running it flat, and a start goes back in about half an hour. If your flight line needs more starts than that before the unit can sit on charge, the answer is a second unit rather than a bigger one. Carries in one hand
At 10 to 20 lb with a built-in handle, one person walks it out to the aircraft. No tug, no trailer, and no cables to coil up afterwards.
One button to start
Clip it on, press the button, start the engine. The display shows state of charge and voltage, with over and under voltage and short-circuit protection watching the whole time.
Built for the ramp
The Rynite 530 case is rated against oil, fuel and solvents, and it is tested to 150 g of mechanical shock and 50,000 ft of altitude. It is not only for starts: run it for ramp maintenance and database updates, 29 minutes on the 10Ah, 44 on the 15Ah and a full hour on the 20Ah under a 20 amp load.
Saves your aircraft battery
Every external start is a deep cycle your ship battery never has to do. Each unit is rated for over 1,000 charge cycles to 80% of rated capacity and 3,000 to 4,000 engine starts, both at ambient temperature, so it earns its keep across the year.

One unit covers a mixed flight line. It starts Robinson and turbine helicopters as well as piston aeroplanes, turboprops and light jets. Tell us the type and we will confirm the fit.
What it has been tested to
Certified testing on the manufacturer datasheet: mechanical shock at 150 g, vibration from 7 to 200 hertz, overcharge past 33 volts, temperature shock at 224°C an hour and a short-circuit test, with an altitude rating of 50,000 feet.
Three sizes. One button.
All three give 3 to 4 starts on a charge, depending on the aircraft, so size is not about running out. All three are for 28 volt aircraft systems, and which one suits yours depends on the type: each card says what it fits. Prices are in pounds and include UK supply by HQ Aviation.
